SUSAN KERSH PORTFOLIO
Botanical Stairs

The brief being collaborative projects, I worked with a group to elevate an inner-city space that was unused. The goal of our project was to promote a break from stressful university life by engaging in more nature.
I had done research on more sustainable ways to feel grounding- an example was to surround oneself in flowers and plants local to southern England (they reduce energy via plant transport).
My group members worked on a rooftop-like space, and I worked on steps leading up to it. Halfway through, the stairwell splits into more private paths. Throughout this project I researched natural energy sources from plants and solar panelling.
