My original idea for this space revolved around structural clusters. I wanted to extend the stairwell platforms, but still keep the wall in the middle to divide the foot traffic from the socialising / cluster area. I explored lightly with a structure in the middle to visually connect the platforms together.

my philosophy for this project was kinetic movement thats social rather than a gym space, where there are many people in one space but all on phones. 

I decided on three floors: the primary floor, one two platforms up, and one four platforms up, which gives enough standing space.

The first floor was a social space - the clusters there to foster friendliness amongst other students doing different courses at our college, the second to reinstate same principle but the clusters a bit more spread out. The third to be an independent space to fully move one's body.
